An original painting from the series, inspired by my studies of Kabbalah and the Book of Zohar. The man seems to ponder. When will the dawn come? When will people awaken? Were those books written in a vain attempt to help people evolve? Perhaps, not soon, as the man’s sad and contemplative eyes suggest; however, behind his back, the light of a new day has illuminated the city walls and towers.  The frame is an integral component of the painting, created in the sgraffito technique and inspired by Oriental ornaments.
